Games Playing Time

Hey all, I was just wondering how long should a normal games playing time be?
When I say normal I mean a game you would buy off of this site for like 20 dollars.
Edit: Off Topic, What is a good web host, one that would be around 20 dollars a year for a domain and when you buy the domain hosting is free and you can make a login system with MySQL with it?

ix web has some great deals and won't rip you off by demanding money if you start making money. I've used them for years with no problem.

Well, modern games seem to be getting shorter - like CoD 4 which was 4-6 hours. I'd say 10-12 hours is a good length for a shooter, unless you're straying into RPG territory (like Deux Ex or Stalker) or doing some other wierd crossover stuff. RPGs are longer, of course. And, with online play (which there's no excuse not to add if you're using Torque ;)) replay value extends the life of the game by a while.

I am currently working on a special type of a 2D game, I think people will really like it, when I start to get to the end of the game I will post a blog saying its release and showing it's trailer.

About the site, look through the license really well . Why? Because if your site becomes popular and begins to make lots of money, they can say they own the domain (which they somewhat due because they are the providers) and they will make you pay lots of money to keep going.
