Unit Setup In 3ds Max?

by Travis Evans · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 01/20/2009 (7:42 am) · 2 replies

I'm sure this is a redundant question but I can't seem to find the answer any where. Probably because, I don't own the TGEA yet so I don't have access to the private forums. Using 3ds Max I've created an object. Before the site upgrade I believe I read that 1 unit = 3 meters? So I setup Max accordingly. But when I import the object into the demo the 1 Meter looked more like 10 meters. So I then tried 1 inch then imported that. The 1 inch looks like 1 foot.

I was hoping that a 3ds Max user could help me out. What Max Unit = A Torque Unit and how did you set it up in max?

Thanks

I would definitely like a solid answer to this question myself. I too am still messing with the demos before I commit to buying the full license (actully, I decided I want it, i'm just too broke atm), but I would like to know the exact unit equivalencies...

Ah an old post. Well I do have good news. 1 Meter in Max is equal to 1 Meter in T3D. Here is a screen shot of the settings I have.

And here are the grid settings I use for Max
