by Devon Ly · in General Discussion · 12/07/2002 (7:44 pm) · 10 replies

We have released the first two chapters of the next installment of the tourniquet series of guides.

www.gug.ca/members/tourniquet

Enjoy.

Oh one other thing, for those of you who gained something from the guides how about contributing back to the community?
If you feel like you'd write a guide please contact me at
devonly@optushome.com.au

we're pretty much open to any ideas.
Currently we're looking for people to rewrite the upcoming chapter 3 of the beginner's guide.
We need someone to convert the section on exporting model using 3d studio max 4 so that users of milkshape and lightwave can do the same process.

besides the fact that the url is wrong (it puts www.garageblablablabal in front of it) the site or server seems down. i have looked at the site before though and im a real fan of it. it explains everything very clearly and is very comperhensive!

after theyve got more tuts i might buy the torque engine also.

ughh yeah sorry about that. the DNS server is down i can't do anything about that. their attempting to fix the problem.

as for buying Torque AFTER more tutorials are available.
What difference does it make really. I wrote these guides mainly for people who already bought a license to use Torque plus if you do wait it might be a while.
I have like three concurrent projects i'm working on at the moment, Tourniquet is only one of them. Anyway, there are plenty of other excellent sources of information around here, Tourniquet is not the only source. Don't let it hold you back from making an excellent game.

Site is working fine for me. Looks like you're headed on your way to something decent, keep it up!

Hey anyone have tourniquet that I can get a hold of?

All the links are broken, and a web search was useless.

All 3 versions on this page (the same one Tom just gave) work for me.

If your browser is trying to display the files rather than download them, use the "save target as" option (usually accessed by right clicking on a link).

Thanks a lot.
