Weapon polygons go crazy at angles?

I'm trying the search and getting nothing back. Anyone encounter this before or know of a bug fix?
At particular angles, my crossbow does this
IMAGE Link here It deforms tremendously. I run an ATI Radeon 7200 64M card.
Any information of a fix is much appreciated.
Thanks.

I also have a radeon 7200 64 meg DDR, and I notice that in Tribes 2 the polygons get all messed up at certain angles as well. I have a feeling it's the radeon causing the problem, as it's caused problems with other 3D apps too.
However, this doesn't occur in every Torque app.... I don't know why, but some work perfectly normal.

This a a form of Artifacting that the radeon does with the torque/tribes2 engines..Im not sure if the Radeon 9700 does this but i know 8500 and below have this problem. I had this problem when i had my radeon 64mb ddr..kinda sucks for tribes2. Its the lastest driver release from ATI...getting archived drivers (old drivers) has fixed this for me and others as well....i also herd of not useing open gl and just using direct x...not sure if that works but give it a try.Heres a link to some info www.planettribes.com/tribes2/troubleshooting/#artifacts

Thanks for the information. This is my 2nd day with Torque. This seems like a great community to be a part of.

The problem is fixed when I switch to DirectX. Weird, but I wonder why all the apps default to OpenGL at every stage? If I play Realm Wars i.e., The stage is fine until it switches and uses OpenGL again. I have to exit, switch to DirectX, then come back in. hmmm...

There is a preferOpenGl variable somewhere in a pref.cs : find it and set it to 0.

I have this issue as well, have for some time. Here's an earlier thread about it.

It _might_ be an issue with drivers, but not the chip itself.

Actually it is NOT a problem with all Radeon cards, I have a 7500 Mobile in my laptop and Tribes 2 with the latest patch and Torque 1.1.1 thru HEAD both games work flawlessly. It _might_ be an issue with drivers, but not the chip itself.
