Human Model

Right now I am trying to make my 2d game. And I am trying to create a character first.
Anyway, I was told over and over to use a 3d human model, and I am going to try that.
Does anyone know where I can get a 3d human model? It does not need to be textured, or even rigged. I just want a mesh of one.

..nice to see that MakeHuman project is still alive and well.

Also if you're using Blender, there is a "creative commons licensed" human model from MontageStudio, and they have some excellent vid tuts.

Good old MakeHuman, it's what I first used as a template to understand 3D modeling.Also if you're using Blender, there is a "creative commons licensed" human model from MontageStudio, and they have some excellent vid tuts.
