i haven't tried sending email from home via thunderbird w/ smtp.gmail -> gg.
from work that path is still bouncing, while using our own smtp server works.

i'll try to remember to fire an email from home.

#202 @Deborah: Good to know on the Sticky Topics. Are you planning to have some way for users to recomend specific topics for stickies or do you plan to manage that internally?

#204 Seaching for forum posts is still causing problems. A quick example, I was trying to find this thread:

www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/79186

which I remembered Gerhard Botha had posted in so I searched for Gerhard Botha in basic and advanced search but it isn't found. Eventually found it by searching on a different phrase but not being to find posts from specific people is a bit of a pain.

@Deborah - any chance we will be getting back the links to posts and blogs in people's profiles?

#208 The new site while improving is still quite unpleasant to use.

The whole forum system.

Between the merge and the search finding results that look interesting but most of them say you don't have access when you click on them with no indication of what forum it is in.

This site takes 10x longer to find what you want and read it.
Forums are like closets that someone stuffed everything into to hide, good luck finding what you want in there.

color - it's growing on me but I still think the white is too bright.

Everything accessible on one "what's new page?" - I wish we had it back.
Paging- I hate it.
No Dev Snapshot - Miss it.
Forums - unorganized mess. Please put all the topics back and combine the unused ones more carefully.
Search - better results but no access to 75% of them and no indication where and why.

I'm sorry to say this whole site looks like you want to make the same blog code do everything and anything.

I am keeping hope. But I hope you realize that the community is suffering through this.

I keep trying to keep the faith, but it gets so frustrating trying to find anything on the new design.

#209 Hi there... this is a simple request I think... one of the most terrible things in new post notify is the absence of link to the original thread... This is really a lightway fix to make.. please do it soon, it's something really weird since the forum search isn't working and it's pretty impossible when you receive a new post notify to go to the original thread... :-(

#212 Email notifications seem better but you still really need to strip out the markup tags.
Oh and when will we get proper profiles back? I guess markup got disabled there so mine look really messed up, heh.

This is how it should be done. If GG let users sticky topics, they would all be stickied. :-D

The site is getting better, but I have 2 requests.

1. (old request being brought forward again) Darken the background. It's glaringly bright.

#215 Bug: Can't go to any other pages (other than the first page) in the Blogs section (clicking the numbers at the bottom gives me a page not found error)

#216 also, can we have.. in reference to the tabbed forums, the ability to NOT have them collapse when we hit refresh? In fact.. I'd prefer the forums not collapse at all.

#217 Page links at the bottom of the page for both the blogs and resources end up at the front page with a "page not found" error.

Great job on the updates. By the time I had originally reloaded to view new comments and post my own, most everyone had already hit on the major topics.

On the off chance that the devs had not decided on whether to put links to posts/resources/blogs from the member page, I would like to add my vote to restore that functionality.

#218 Yall really need to go back to the old site until you get all the bugs worked out of this one. You could have this one in a beta phase or something.

#219 Is the ability to view all topics/posts by a user through a link on their profile top-priority? It seems very important to me- I was surprised it wasn't included last update.

#220 Youtube videos may have a minus sign in their id string, but the markup here doesn't seem to like it.
