Sam was simply using an example as far as the hacked servers are concerned. We wouldn't do that. Tiggs did not give us a ruling on the project. She simply told us that we in America would never touch an online version of Hellgate ever again. Once again, we will not be distributing any of the Hellgate assets to anyone. The only thing we will provide is the client and our own custom assets. I find it to be more than a little rude for you to imply that we are lazy or inexperienced. We are doing this because we cared about Flagship and the game they/you provided us with. A lot of people love it. A lot of people are sad to see it die here while it thrives in Korea. Lazy? Inexperienced? Try faithful.

Edit: We are done on this forum for now. Mr. Balbi has valid points, no matter the way he presented them. We will be discussing the options amongst ourselves.

Looks nice Taylor. This will really help out the Torque community that wants to create dungeon crawlers.

Hehe ya I stumbled on it while cruising the blog section. It made me want to start up a dungeon crawler :D After working on Hellgate and Mythos for so long, I miss it :(

I had a chance today to see how many polys Torque 3D can push before it started to chug....well, it actually never chugged. A 17K poly was put on screen, with full rendering and collision enabled. Rate only dropped by a few frames.

I've noticed only Sam own's a Torque license: TGE. You might want to go ahead and start working with the TGEA demo to get used to the system. That way you will know what you are getting into when you purchase TGEA or Torque 3D.

Oh, and since the thread is still open and I have my own opinion: If you want to proceed with your project, stop talking about it outside of your own site and forums.

Just for mentioning you are using HG assets is warrant enough for the current IP holders to force you to shutdown everything. No amount of ignoring or arguing will change that fact.

It's happened with plenty of other fan based projects.
