Hey all, I have been looking around and noticed that if I make a 3D model it can be made into a sprite with its animation.
I would like to know how I can do this? I would like a tutorial or anything really but tutorial would be best and any ideas would be great to!!! Thanks!
EDIT: I use blender as my 3D modeling tool, if you have any better ones that are free please tell me!

There is a program called spriteforge, this program works but nothin for blender so I cant really use it so if you know a program like spriteforge that would be better :D Thanks!
P.S To save all animation images do these steps.
Hit F10 to go to Scene mode
Under format tab chose the image type you want
render animation
go to temp files (usually located in C:\tmp for blender)

That is a cool tool that I never see before. I been thinking about creating a plugin for blender that would do this. But I digress.
I haven't tested anything, but spritforge supports exported types X (DirectX7), 3DS (3DMax), and MD2 (Quake). These format can be exported by blender. So if I understand this tool correctly, use should be able to create the model in blender export it, to one of the formats and then give it to spritforge. And BAM it works! :)
If you get this to work or have any more problems let me know.

Short and simple steps are:
Hit F10 Scene mode
Hit 0 on the number pad to go to camera view
Hit F12 to render
When it is done rendering hit F3, give it a name and save it.
I think there is a way to save the animation with a bunch of images, but I can't remember at this time. If you figure it out before I do please let me know
