TGEA questions?

by Ricky Boyce · in General Discussion · 12/27/2008 (7:46 pm) · 2 replies

Hey there

I know little of 3d game making but want to give it a shot to see if i like it.
I was wondering, can i download TGEA for free just to test it out and still get all the features included in the full version?
And if i want to sell the game can i? Do i have to purchase a indie or commercial license or something?
If so what is the difference between the commercial and indie license?

Thanks a million!

You can download the demo and use the scripts (which you can do most of your gameplay scripting in), but the demo does not come with source code, for obvious reasons. I believe you can sell a game you make with the demo as long as you follow the EULA, which updates more often than I read it (only read it once, years ago). Give it a whirl and see if you like it. Fair warning though: It's a learning curve, so you'll need plenty of patience.

Edit: Almost forgot. The difference between Indie and Commercial is that the Commercial license is for companies that make $250k a year or more, as far as I know. 99% chance you don't need to worry about that right now ;)
