Increasing Editor Panel Size.

by Ian Smithers · in Torque Game Engine · 12/23/2008 (8:45 pm) · 5 replies

Hi all,

Something I've noticed is that in the terrain and world editor, the panel size is quite small, meaning that the text is getting cutoff so you can't actually see what the field name is. For example selecting an object gives Lighting settings and two of them are the same text-wise because after "customAmbi" the text is cut off by the panel. Most apps allow a resizing of the panel, is there a way to do this in Torque? The usual methods (click drag on the spine etc) aren't bearing fruit for me. ;)

Cheers!
Ian

I think I forgot to say that people can reply now. :p So... you know, REPLY NOW! ;)

Did this recently. Bumping your own thread after a measily 10 hours isn't the way to go, though.
Harsch or not, if everyone did it the forum wouldn't work. Simple as that.

I don't think anything would even change on the forum and since I've been trawling through the TDN, the SDK docs, searching through loads of tutorials and also other forum posts, I don't really consider it a measly 10 hours.

Forums only don't work when people post and don't supply any information. If you aren't willing to supply the information or help, then posting here is as vacuous as the information you provide.

It's simple really: use the GUI editor to resize the panel or change the text size, or...well there's lot's of things you can do. After all of that forum trawling you should see all of the possibilities opening up before you.

Aaaah the GUI Editor! I think that's a mindset-thing, for some reason it didn't occur to me to use that to change the tools too. I've not looked at a huge deal of GUI info yet, so thank you for that tip! :)
