Multiple ground detail textures - TGEA?

I am creating TGEA ATLAS terrains.
I would like to know if I can have more then 1 single ground detail texture. For instance, the one I have now works great with gravel, but I would like additional ones for "mud", "grass", "dirt" and so on. Can this be done?

Currently I have an ATLAS terrain @1km x 1km, with 16x 2048 texture maps. If I double that, my ground texture will exceed 16kx16k pixels. Can TGEA support this size of terrain texture?

Its been a while since i used Atlas but i seem to remember we did one at 32k x 32k pixels... but it was tricky.

If I create an Atlas terrain with a 32k x 32k texture the detail shows up perfectly. But when I bump that unique terrain texture down to 16k x 16k, then I get these detail texture dead zones. Anyone have any Ideas?
Has anyone else encountered this bug??
