Cannot get Maya2DTS working on 8.5PLE. Possible?

Hey, I'm over here a South Eugene High School--practically down the street from you guys and I can't seem to get Maya2DTS working on Maya 8.5PLE and now I'm wondering if it's even possible. All the tutorials are for earlier versions of Maya, should I downgrade to get it to work?

If it is possible, could you explain how to do it or direct me to a tutorial w/ the correct files?

You cant export anything from PLE its for education only .

Will it work on 8.5? As in not PLE? My teacher got a donation from a past student of Maya 8.5 (or 8.0, I don't know)

There is exporters for maya5 and up....find them here www.garagegames.com/developer/torque/artist/
