Hey just wondering is this engine good or worth it? I have heard on devmaster.net that its easy to use but what are the requirements, do i need to know c++?? if so what books can you all recommend to me, or do i need to know one of the scripting languages that are supported like python and if so what books can you recommend?

Why do folks come here to ask these questions? Doesnt nebula have their own forums and demos?

No, it's not worth the effort; the exporter is expensive, there is no Mission / level editor of any kind and the development for the open source is dropped off in favor of the next gen Nebula; If I recall correctly they are developing a game but haven't heard anything new about it in over 1 year.

I'd call Nebula Device 2 incomplete and obsolete.

Nebula's a nice engine SDK, but you will have to know C++ well to use it. The Maya tools are very nice as well, though, as Apparatus notes, expensive.
