WebPlugin demonstration for Pelorea

Based on Taylor work, I did some preliminary work with TGEA 1.7.1 / AFX to have a first prototype for Pelorea, bundled with the web plugin. It was looking promising, so I decided to pursue on it.

Indeed, in the team there was a lot of discussion how to release Pelorea, and we were interesting to see if it will be possible to release it through the web. We set-up a first technical demonstration (still buggy) with the game deck editor that you can see there: pelorea.indieserver.com.

Just download the plugin first, then you can go to the demonstration page. There are still some bugs on the plugin, and the Mozilla release is not done yet; but as we are focusing on Pelorea, plus the web release at same time, those will be solved soon.

Nota: For those interesting, first port of plugin to TGEA 1.7.1 was sent to Taylor who will release a resource soon. On the other hand, the additionnal code I'm putting to be able to manage multiples instances of game, manage and pack game for web delivery and others thing for communication between browser and plugin will not be released at the moment for public. It will be used first for Pelorea, then we will see what to do with it.

Just post a new release of the plugin.exe file which should solve some issues regarding rights for registering the control.

After publishing this first demonstration, we got a lot of comments and queries from different groups of developer. I decided then to extend the current plugin in order to add as previously planned, a better management of downloaded files, possibility to have a library of accessible games, and a plugin tookit to help deploy TGEA games.

Here is a short video showing you the current status of the plugin GUIs when starting a new game, requiring the game library and accessing the plugin toolkit (still under development).

I plan to update the previous website pelorea.indieserver.com with this latest release of the plugin and the corresponding 3D Board Viewer demonstration of Pelorea. Indeed, main aim at moment is to finish development of Pelorea: Tactical War demonstration.

I will post here a message when this release 0.5 will be available on the previous website, so you can all look at it.
