3d modeler needs simple request

what i mean to say in the topic is that im learning to model in 3d. im using max for about 1 year now (on and off actually) and ive been bussy creating some unit models for wc3 the last few months.
unfortunately we cant mod this game sofar so i thought id try to model for a fps or something. ive started on a soldier and have created the legs and he ass but it took me quiet some time and allot of reference.
what im asking for is this: a team that would let me work on 1 model (preferably a unit, not a radar or something) and could suply me with some good reference.
preferably for a torque project.
cant promise anything good comming out of it but i sure ass hell will do my utmost. after ive finished the model id like to try to animate it (or skin) wich i both havent looked in yet to be honoust.
i really hope someone will give me a chance!
