Self taught 3d Artist/Animator Looking for position.

Hello everyone,
I've been teaching myself 3d art and animation using Blender3d for about 5 years now, and after a year long break from 3d art due to college classes and work scheduling I think it is time for me to get back into it. I have worked on several (4) small teams, doing over 300 models for one project and writing the story and scripted screenplay events for another. However, all these teams fell through due to a lack of devotion by the project lead or lack of work ethic from the other artists and/or programmers.

I am looking for a team to work on doing mainly 3d environmental art and world objects (Such as the models that popular the world and make it look "alive"[rocks, trees, litter, street items]) or architectural design for in game buildings. Those two areas mentioned are what i consider my best area of work, followed by high poly pre-rendered scenes, and texturing. I am not that great at animation unless it is non organic and cyclical (sp?). In other words, character animation is greek to me (and i dont know greek that well).

The type of team I am looking to be a part of is:
- Not working on the next WoW... I've a part of too many gran scale MMO projects that were doomed from the start.
- Relaxed about the pace of work. If we are all learning and doing this for the enjoyment, why put fake dead lines and un-needed stress on those working for free?
- Made up of a team of artists that can teach me what they know, and will be constructivly critical toward my work, and I will do the same.
- Serious. Not trying to make a game beyond the reaches of an indipendent, volunteer team, with little experience in making large scale projects.
-Fun to talk to beyond the work space... Seeing as it will mainly be over the internet all work talk is done, I dont only want to be talking about the project development... lets play some games, relax, and gather ideas from other projects while enjoying a 10 kill streak.

I know how to UV map fairly well with static objects, however organics and characters are still a bit iffy for me. I also need to relearn how blender does UV mapping due to the fact that the last time I used blender to UV map it was v2.3something, and I believe its now up to 2.42, and its been changed quite a bit.
