Torque Constructor crashes when trying to save or export?

by Shane09 · in General Discussion · 09/27/2008 (2:07 pm) · 6 replies

Every time on Torque Constructor for the Mac, it crashes when I try to export or save. Why is it doing this? I tried 4 times in a row to make sure it wasn't a one time thing, and it crashed every time. Does this only happen on the Mac version? Or is there something I have to do first, to fix this? Is GarageGames even aware of this? Please help me out. :(

Try the newest version available on tdn. I believe it was an file i/o issue when the 10.5 API was backrolled into 10.4.10+, but I'm not positive. That was about when I noticed being reported, and a ton of Mac apps had to be updated because of the changes.

I downloaded the 1.0.3 patch and the Constructor 1.0.51 patch. How do I install them?

Put the binary file into the constructor folder, then unzip it.

@Shane -

THe 1.051 will not work on the Mac. Go back to that same page on TDN, and get the 1.04 for the Mac patch. Then replace each file in your 1.03 with the appropriate file from the archive.

Ok, I downloaded the 1.04 Mac patch. Sorry, I am 13, and I don't get what you mean by "...replace each file in your 1.03 with the appropriate file from the archive." Please help.

Shane - extract the zip file to a new folder on your hard drive. Then copy the files out of the new folder replacing the same files in the constructor folder with the new files in the archive.
