Hey all, as you might know I have purchased Torque Game Builder and the problem is I don't have a script editing program, I was going to buy Torque Torision Script but instead I started to build a program different then Torque Torision Script. I will release this program in a fe days.

Good luck, but I think you might be wasting your time. A few days is not enough time to make anything even as good as free alternatives like codeweaver or notepad++. And wouldn't you rather be working on a game?

@ James

True. It takes years and years for a high budgeted, many manned, company to make a good gaming product.

@ Houssan

You might just be getting a little carried away like I did when I first got into this industry. I wanted to make a huge MMO within like a week. One thing that I think now. LOL. You need to understand that it takes time. Even more time if you don't want to spend money. You need to start small, before you can start big. You should try making some short, small games so that way you can learn the basics of Torque Script and how to use the Torque Game Builder. If you need more help, try going to the TDN for Torque Game Builder. Look at the top of the page. Go to Documentation > Torque Game Builder > TDN.

Good luck.

Lol

@James

This isn't a huge program, it is just a small program which I can open and save .cs files in.

@ Shane

I don't want to make huge games now, I am just starting out by building small games like the tutorial ones.

P.S Anyone know how to change the icon for my game?

@ Houssen

Try right clicking your final application and editing. I am not very good with that either. About before: Sorry, I didn't know what you were doing, I was just giving some advice. Sorry if that was offensive in any way :(

@Shane

He is already skilled in programming, so he isn't 'new' to the industry like you were when you wanted to make an MMO.

@Houssen

I don't understand why you don't just use the free ones out there. Xcode is the best for Mac, and Notepad++ is the best for Windows.

I never knew how to make a text editor, since I thought you needed some kind of text/hexidecimal editor to make anything.

Have you looked into tribal? It's a free torque script editor. It hasn't been updated in forever, but works just fine if you don't need the debugger.

@Tyler

Is there a TorqueScript template for XCode?
