Darken dynamic shadows

I can get dynamic shadows in the stock version of torque game advanced through using script but the only problem i am having is i want to darken the shadows, is this possible?

When place a light beside my object and move around i the dynamics shadows is there but very faint.

Off the top of my head, I'd say turn down the world ambient.
