Need a suitable Game Engine!

Hey All,
some of you may have read my previous post, but for those who havent, heres the go. I want to get together a team to develop a game I have been designing in my mind for some time now. Its basically going to be a Massed Co-Operative Multiplayer game, with singleplayer levels for training. I have been looking for a FREE engine that is suitable for the task, but i cant find any. The games strong point is going to be its graphics, so does anyone know an engine out there that supports many players/npcs, with above average graphics. Also, is it a stable engine? I have had a look at Cube, Recent 3DE, Crystal Space, and Genesis 3D so far, but none have the level of graphic quality Im looking for. 3DE comes pretty close, but is very buggy. I downloaded the Demo for Genesis3D, and found it reasonably impressive, but when I downloaded the SDK with the first person shooter demo, I found it VERY dissapointing with no texture filtering at all. Is it possible that there is an engine out there that does stuff like the following:

-Bi Linear, Tri Linear, or maybe even Antiscopic Filtering of textures.

-Volumetric Fogging.

-Realtime lighting (maybe not all lights, but some at least, So the whole level isn't static).

-Built for action/First Person Shooter games.

-Has that thing, I have NO idea what its called. It is in Deus Ex: The boxes that appear around things that can be picked up, pushed, activated etc. Its an EXCELLENT idea, i think it is in a few other first person RPGs.

I know this is a lot to ask, and made even harder when I say that I can only afford an engine when it is free. Basically summed up, I know almost nothing about how to build game engines. I spend all my computer time building levels for commercial games. If anyone can give me the names of high quality engines with some of the above stuff, I would be forever in debt to you.
Thanks in advance,

Andrew

PS. Does anyone know if the Nevrax engine fits this description? Does anyone know where I can find some screenshots of it working?

Quote:Only the win binaries are out at the moment though, the rest are due within the coming months.

So Qube isn't platform independant then.

No, it is platform independant. Let's not be pedantic. The low level render engine is entirely platform independant, but the binaries are needed for the different API's and for optimisation on the different platforms.

I don't see the basis of your statement about doubting it really works for the xbox. Care to give a reason behind your sweeping statement?
