Xp to vista with torque

by Sean Brady · in General Discussion · 09/11/2008 (4:03 am) · 3 replies

I was just curious about how torque holds up with vista. I recently have a vista machine with xp installed and running brilliantly but i was considering upgrading parts of the computer and they require vista. Just to improve the machine but if i get vista will this make torque incompatible to use?

Please advice is needed, Thank you.

Well i have managed to get it running on vista. But atleast when it comes to TGEA it seems abit scetchy ... some times it wont load, the process can be found in the task manager, but no client loads. in these instances it's pritty constant though ... and you will never get it to work... I'm guesing there is something missing for it to load (framework or something). but i can't figure out what.

The thing with Vista and any of the Torque products, is you have to make sure you stay current with the latest Vista drivers, especially with the video cards.

I've ran every Torque engine there is under both Vista Business and Vista Home Premium without any troubles.
