Torque Show tool showing very large mesh and out of alignment

Hi,

I successfully exported the model.

Then when i load the model in the show tool,

1. It is huge!!

2. It is to its side instead of showing the front of the character. I change the view ports in the show tool program but the top is showing the side, the left is showing the top and so forth.

3. When i go back to max, the mesh seems to leave the biped and appear vertically suspended and shrunk next to the biped. I can't undo it so i hav to load the max file again to redo the export.

I have tried different hierarchy combination's, different tutorials. My model is 2.3 meters tall.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

If your mesh is properly scaled, why not load the mesh first, then drag the Biped to match the size of the mesh. if your going the other way around you may have a huge biped and trying to fit it to a very small mesh and not realize it. I usually load up Kork Max file to make sure anything Iam trying to make is close to proper scale. Also there is a great free tutorial on getting a character from Max into torque.

Thanks Johnny, the tip about comparing the size with a working model worked. I used the resize utility in max. However i will have to redo the rig and skinning. That should not be too much a of a pain.

So i exported just to test and model exported but something is still wrong with the way the mesh aligns itself in the torque show tool.

Please view the pics below to see what i mean.

As you can see i have the model aligned properly in max where the back is showing the front view port.

However, once the DTS file is loaded in the Torque show tool, the front is showing the top top fshowing something else. What would cause that? Thanks again for your time.

Okay figured it out. Weird though. Somehow rotating the bounds box around made the alignment change in the view tool.
