On a more serious note, I'd also suggest having a browse about on the 'net. There's a LOT of good, free information on texture creation etc out there, if you have a quick google session. What 3D app are you using? It'll influence what books you should be looking out for.

The Oxford English Dictionary, it tells you how to spell words like "good".On a more serious note, I'd also suggest having a browse about on the 'net. ...because obviously the entire world should speak perfect English, as much no doubt as you could reply to the OP in perfect Hindi? Don't even get me started on American's correcting people for butchering the English language, whole damn nation is illiterate. [/English arrogance] ;)

If I see ANY person who wants to learn English to speak it, they usually only make grammatical errors, not spelling errors.

There are quite a few community members who grew up learning the English language as their native tongue, yet their grammar and spelling can be horrendous. While I do respect the use of proper grammar, I usually put more stock in manners, respect, and knowledge. Seems petty to do otherwise (just my opinion).

Creating Game Art for 3D Engines is a book that is recommended on our site.
3D Game Textures looks like a pretty good book and seems to get good reviews. This one will probably help out a lot with both 2D and 3D.
