Site is down a considerable amount of time

At first I thought it was due to changes being made to the GG site, but it seems every time I need to look up something vitally important for the work I am currently doing GG responds with:

Quote:

The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later.

Reference #6.7c7ffea5.1219359623.2797787

This has been going on for months, and usually the main site is accessible just not the resources and forum search. I'd really appreciate if I could rely on GG to provide me with the documentation I need for the engine I paid for!

Try using the IP or the origin-www.garagegames.com methods. They work fairly well for me when I have this issue.

Edit->Replaced words, sentence makes sense now.

Have you contacted me so that I can log it and hopefully the Akamai proxies will be fixed?

I didn't realize this was an ongoing problem for certain people and not everyone... I assumed that the site was down universally and thus I was putting up with it for months. I probably would be putting up with it for the rest of my life if I hadn't finally decided to give in and whine about it.

@David Montgomery-Blake: 1. What format and information do you prefer and where do I send it?
2. Yeah, like I really know what a "Akamai proxy" is. If you're working technical support then you work the technical support and spare your customers the yibberish yabberish jargon.

0) Time and time zone it happened (convert to GMT for Akamai)
1) The Akamai error displayed on the screen (ex: Reference #6.7c7ffea5.1201635804.
f491032)
2) Client IP address - use http://checkip.dyndns.org
3) the url that failed (ie http://www.garagegames.com/main/login) (or is it only on POST?
4) traceroute to www.garagegames.com
5) traceroute to a1.g.akamai.net
6) Their OS
7) Their Browser and version
8) if they try to login via origin-www.garagegames.com does it work?

I don't expect you to know what proxy servers are or why they work the way they do (or in this case, not work the way they do). UIf you've thought about making a networked game, then you'll most likely want to know in case there is one in the mix between your players or your severs and it isn't being friendly to your game's communication.

If you could get that information to me, I'd appreciate it. It is the information that they require to even look at the incident.
