IGC and the original Tribes

So as my buddy Kirk and I prepare to depart the snowy foothills of Colorado en route to IGC, we found ourselves contemplating whether we would meet anyone at IGC that we used to play Tribes with? Surely someone that fell under the spell of that blessed game had to end up here? In the GG community? And going to IGC? Just curious...we spent 2 years with some of you in Tribesland and it would be cool to meet in person (especially since the chance to do so is right under our noses).

Anyway, are there any old Tribes 1 players out there? Are you going to IGC?

Btw, we both played for the infamous Miles O'Carnage.

Ex-Miles O'Carnage, HoF Miles O'Wreckage sounding off!!!

As I sit here the day before we leave for our roadtrip halfway across the U.S. to IGC I'm thinking that we could offer to bring up some of the many touted Colorado microbrews. But as I revealed my plan to my teammate and roadtrip compadre Jason he said, with a certain amount of panic....

"Jesus...don't offer to pick up beer for the guys that are going to be at IGC! We don't have enough room or money..."
So I guess that Idea's out =).

Anyone give us a weather report from Idaho or Utah, it's snowing like hell here.

Boise is cold with scattered snow showers. Salt Lake is around 36, more than likely snow as well. It's been chilly here in Eugene. Supposed to drop to around 20 for the next couple of nights but around 50's in the day. Which doesn't bode well for Eastern Oregon. Supposedly 30's in the day, under 10 at night. Good luck guys. Have a safe trip. :)

We're coming, no matter what! We'll play test the 4WD in Jason's Jeep, if need be. Can't wait !

I played way, WAY too much Tribes 1 back in the day but I'm not even 100% sure what my handle was back then. I think I was Booga, no clan affiliation for me... hated the thought of having to be somewhere sometime to practice playing a game:)

Safe voyage you guys, watch out for that black ice.
