Here's my attempt at starting the longest thread ever. If you want proof that someone bought the SDK, have them post to this thread here in the private SDK forums.

Finally took the plunge and bought the Indie license today. Haven't had time to even download the CVS yet, unfortunately. I'm also expecting Mr Finney's book to be delivered on Wednesday. :)

And yes, naked mole-rats are real critters. Though try explaining that to the state registrar's office when registering a business license. Yeah, lots of fun. ;-)

Just bought it, already using it. Many thanks to GarageGames! Too bad I killed a year back in 2000 having to write my own GE from scratch. Could've released two titles instead of none. Ouch....And yes, naked mole-rats are real critters. Though try explaining that to the state registrar's office when registering a business license. Yeah, lots of fun. ;-)

I got Torque and I'm thinking of starting a spinoff of GID (game in a day) called GIY (game in a year):Quote:You can use any engine you wish. This is not a contest, if you cheat you only cheat yourself. GIY is a great way to stockpile useful code and to learn a lot about the game development process. If you come up with a really good game you think you want to finish it, by all means continue afterwards, but your GIY entry is what you have after a year. There is no official start or end time -- you have 8,760 hours that you may spend however you wish.
