Textures

Yo! I just downloaded the demo and I saw there are 6 textures you can put on your world. Sry for this newbish question but can this number be higher? I mean you can't make a huge world with only 6 textures :P. Thanks!

I think you mean the 6 textures those are painted on the terrain. There is a resource for increasing the number though. But 6 textures in also not so less, because u have to use many other art assets like DTS and DIF in your level, and those are not limited to 6 textures.

By default the game engine actually supports 8 textures per terrain and it is rather trivial to change. People have increased this to 16 without too much effort. As indicated by Sailendu Behera that is the resource to look at.

I recently pushed mine up to 8 for my project just to give me those extra two textures that I typically use for roads/pathways and the river/seabeds.

Well thanks! I planned to crate a mmo so I need more than 6 textures though.

I believe they got it up to 256 textures but after 13 it crashes, because technically it will show you have 15 to use if you follow the tutorials, thats what I used and it worked, only issue is the last 2 wont work only allowing 13, and 13 is really more than enough per .mis.
