JUST STARTED OUT (New at the Torque Engine)

Hey peoples...gotta few questions for ya...
I'm brand new at the torque engine...and am wondering a few things....if y'all could help me out, I'd be very happy.
I'll try to be as strait forward and short as possible
1. I don't program that well....does torque have an interface for doing most of the game developement? Like say...a 3D map to lay objects on, as opposed to programming it all?
2. I have a good story I want to make into a game...I'd like to have a side scrolling "fighter" type battle engine with my game, with parallaxing effects and stuff...is Torque capable of this? If so, could you give me some suggestions on doing it right, and if not...does anyone know of another game engine that can do "fighter" style battle engines well?

Sounds to me like you have a very specialised subject in mind.
To answer your questions: Torque has a 3D World Builder where you place all of your objects (trees, buildings etc.)
But, the reason that I'm gonna buy Torque is because I am very interested in First Person Shooters and Torque is really designed with this genre in mind. I'm sure your idea is possible, but really it would be too much effort.
Off the top of my head - sorry I don't know any fighting engines either.
All bad news I'm afraid.
