Start-up company looking for people

Hi,

Not going to pull any punches. Small two possibly three person team/LLC company. We started it earlier this year. The third person is someone we know and are going to sit down and talk things out with, if that goes well then three if not well we will still be a two person company. I'm currently learning TGEA though have been using TGE some time now. I have quite a bit of experience with C++ and the kind of person with a lot of creativity and passion about making games. I'm also about halfway through a BS degree from Devry for Game Simulation and Programing. My husband is the other co-founder and he is also learning more about the development process and also getting a Computer Information Systems degree but is mostly good at getting people and ideas working and finding money. The third person if he decides to join us is a programmer.

That all being said, we want to make games for a living. And we have the innovative ideas, and the determination to sit down until things work and they do consistently. We have over 15 years worth of collaborative content source material or stories, ideas, places, worlds and concepts that neither of us have ever seen in games before. At this point we haven't finished anything and haven't made any money from our ideas.

Currently we are starting to work on a TGEA project and it has become very obvious that we really need a few more people on the team. And that really means anyone and any skill right now. We really don't want it to be a huge company and are trying to keep the entire company around 10-24 people that just like to create games and have fun going to work every day. As of right now there isn't a whole lot of money, and we do pretty much all of our work out of the house. And unless you want to live in our spare bed room you probably need to keep some sort of job besides working with us at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if someone eventually does take over the spare bedroom as a small apartment to work with us, this house is more a studio than a home. When we release our first project everyone will get what they put into it and everything beyond what goes into the next project and keeping the company going gets paid out.

The short list:

We are in Jacksonville, NC unless you want to work online

It doesn't matter what skill level you are currently. If you want to learn and really want to do it.. We have a room full of books that we can lock you in until you come out with the skills you want.

You get to decide what you want to do and how much, we are currently keeping track of hours so once a product is released you get what you earned.

You can take part in the creativity and direction of current projects and future ones.

You can be creative and decide what we will be doing next.

You can decide not be creative and just be given things to do from the mundane to advanced work but be part of a fun team.

Be able to play with and work on what ever equipment or software we can get our hands on.

If your an artist you get the added bonus of a small party in your honor at a strip club of your choice in town.

Work with people with odd senses of humor and if your weird you'll be fine.

Play lots of LAN parties

Casual and mellow working atmosphere.

**as a final note.. I'm probably not going to remember to check back here very often so please just email or call me

Right now I'm a student and will work for a company as part of my education for 8 months. But when I will get graduated, and if I won't get any job, I would consider it definitely.
PS. If you get a homepage I would be glad if you sended a PM to me then.

Hi, figure ill get back on here and say a little bit more about whats going on.

1st off there has been some responses to the post I put on here earlier and because no one is even close to Jacksonville NC I have moved some of the development online to a "work site" where we have started getting together and talk about game concepts and different parts of what is going on with the current game project that everyone is pitching in on. What the plan has become is to release chunks of complied code at different points in the development process so everyone can get hands on with what is going on. Not that I don't love the internet but we would like to retain our intellectual properties.

The website for the company is http://www.byteeye.com/

The native screen shot on there is a TGE 1.4 pic.. and isn't even in the game I just threw it on there to make it look like something until we had some better screen shots from TGEA 1.7.1 which might be a while since no one can make models yet. So pretty much going to probably have some "filler" models. Since there is a ton to do still it isnt that huge of a big deal anyway at this point.

The development team is now about 4 maybe 5 people.. so its starting to move along a little better now.
If people are interested in getting involved just email me and ill set you up with a user name and a temporary password.

I model 3D environments/equipment/vehicles. Preferrably mid to high poly counts but I can work low if needed.

I'm disabled/retired and really looking for something to do with my talents and time. Money is not a consideration for me. I would have to work from my home but with today's internet that should not be a problem.

I use Blender to model but can be exported to .dts (or a lot of other model types) for this game engine. I can insert bones, etc. for animation (which will export properly)for further work by an animator.

Have done some of the modeling for Reactor Interactive's Sector 13. You may contact Drew Clark at reactorinteractive.net for references on my modeling/texturing skills.

Examples of my work are available at your request.

Please contact me a jburchfield1@columbus.rr.com if you are interested.
