That looks really good mate.
It's got a kind of a paper feel to it, like the kind of things you use to make in junior school in art lessons (I mean that in a good way by the way, it's got a natural material feel to it). I would really push the gf/x style that way more (card board cut outs and fuzzy felt) and the thing you control is very much like a Yo-Yo (which would work with the child theme). Have a look at Little Big Planet for a better example of what I mean.
Quick question about the game. Can you pull tricks with the Yo-Yo and are they different types? It's an interesting idea.
The next game I'm working on with Isaac is called Lucky 7 and again is done in TGB and I'm also working on another game with a different coder (still under the BadBumble flag) called Shuffle Blocks (details on our website). Both are pretty unique twists on established game styles as we are aiming for the casual game market and don't want to go to fair out game style wise, but I never want to make a straight clone of another game as I see it as a waste of everyone's time and effort.
If you want to try what I've suggested (the cardboard style gf/x), I'll be happy to spend a hour to convert a couple of your gf/x files across to that style and I'll write up a quick doc on how to do (very simple to do (I hope)).
If you need anyone to play test it, I'm more then willing to have a look and the when our next game is closer to been tested, your more then welcome to have a look.
Cheers,
Mike.
