Hello all,
Zeolite Studios' SnowballZ ( http://snowballz.joey101.net ) is now
looking for developers, mostly programmers, artists, and level
designers.
We currently are looking for the following:
Art: 2D and 3D artists, including heightmaps for levels, texture
artists, and 3D modelers and animators. Blender knowledge is preferred.
Design: Our main need here is someone to help maintain the design doc
and other documentation as well as interface as an Associate Producer
to keep the team running. Our other main design need is level
designers using our custom level design tool.
Python Programming: Lots to do here; Objects, events, scripting, UI,
gameplay, AI, scoring, terrain, level editor, minigames, tools.
Good sites to check out are http://python-ogre.com and
http://arcticpaint.com in order to learn about some of the libraries
we use.
Production: Per our current way of structuring the team, we mainly
need an Associate Producer who helps coordinate the team and keep the
design documentation up to date. As well, we will need team leads who
are both competent in their field as well as being able to manage and
keep their team members on task. IE Art Director, Technical Director,
Community Manager.
Lead Audio, Lead Design, Exec. Producer positions are already filled.
We are not yet ready to start QA but hope to be by mid-August.
Community: We need to look into filling out a full website launch and
need web developers to match.
If you can help in any of these things or can refer me to anyone it
would be much appreciated. All positions are currently non-relocated
volunteer work, though we are actively seeking funding and
publishing/marketing partners and have some interest.
