Cell Shading

by Duncan Bell · in Torque Game Engine · 07/14/2008 (10:36 am) · 4 replies

Ah the good old days. I reinstalled XIII on my pc a couple of days ago... and dam i love the way ts done.

I was wondering, is it possible to get TGE to render in cell-shading? I mean if you look at the facts it makes texturing alot easier! Even if you look at games like Ultimate Spider Man, it still has a strong sense of realism within the game.

Duncan, it is very possible to do cell-shading, in fact it has been done several times already.

there is even an article on the tdn about how to do it:

Some of these posts and others like it (do a search for cell shading) may be a bit out of date but they show that it can in deed be done.

Edit: Syllus beat me to it...
