Turn Lightwave 3D models to a 2D sprite

Does anyone know how I could turn a model made in the 3D software Lightwave 3D into a sprite for the Torque Game Builder? I've seen others for Maya and blender but never for lightwave.

I would suggest limit your render region, animate to a either a storyboard (perfect for TGB) or to a sequence of frames.

When I load the storyboard into TGB it still has a black square around it. How do I make that square go away and just have the object?

Just load it into a paint package and flood fill the lines to get rid of them.

How are you "animating to a storyboard" in LW?

When you open up lightwave go to the "Render" Tab and go to the "Render Options". Go to the "Output Files" tab. Check "Animation" and under the "Type" choose "Storyboard".
