max2map exporter plugin woes...

As some of you might have noticed or not, the max2map plugin available in CVS compiles and links, no problems there...
It's when Max starts up that things go awry : Max posts an error message saying it's obsolete.
But afaik, it's compiled for Max4, right ?
Is it that they were changes in the sdk between 4 and 4.2 that don't affect the max2dts plugin, but cripple the max2map ?
I ask this, 'cause I know of at least one modeller, who happens to be a member of my team (8p), who'd rather do his interiors in Max, than in Quark (now, if someone could tell with certainty that Id has authorized the use of QER/GTK Radiant for commercial TGE development, this would become quite moot, since he knows and uses Radiant for quake levelmaking. Or has anyone inquired on the cost of a commercial license for Radiant ?)
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with the max2map issues, or has info on the Radiant "situation"
Have a nice weekend all

adjust the header in the one from max2map to look like the one from worldcraft ..
try different versions when running map2diff using the provided command line parameters..
else update the code in the max2map to properly put together the *.map file ...

you can simply compare the *.map file from each exporter ..adjust the header in the one from max2map to look like the one from worldcraft ..
try different versions when running map2diff using the provided command line parameters..
else update the code in the max2map to properly put together the *.map file ...

Nope, the default max2map project compiles for MAX3...
but I've compiled it for MAX4 - you can get it here:
www.ancient-arena.com/, in the download section...
although I have never managed to use it correctly yet... if you got any success with modeling interiors in MAX and export them correctly, let me know... :D
Have fun!
