Instant Action business model

by Javier Echenique · in General Discussion · 06/19/2008 (11:32 am) · 2 replies

Hey there...
sorry if this has been posted before... I searched over the site and I found nothing.

Can anyone tell me what's the business model behind Instant Action? If my company decides to create a game for it, what can we expect as a return?

And related to the tech side, how can we develop games for Instant Action? It's just an export from TGB or so? How to obtain the plugin?

Thanks in advance

Hey, Javier. The business model is that GarageGames has created a web platform for 3D games in a browser and we're looking for polished commercial-level games from everyone: small indie studios up to larger commercial ones. The publishing deals are specific to each game, so I don't have return figures. If you have a game you want to pitch, the guy to talk to is Randy Dersham: randyd [AT] garagegames [DOT] com

You can use any technology you want to create games for Instant Action because the plugin is separate from our Torque tech. Right now, we aren't selling the plugin to anyone.

Hope that helps!

Deborah,
thanks very much for your quick response.
Now I'm clear about it ;)
