Yeah, looks like it could be really cool in motion, can't wait to check it out! You could link a youtube vid or something.

It has been going a little slower than I'd hoped for Lylian, due to an overflow of contract work.
But here are a few new screenshots:

Hmm. If I can offer some gut-feedback, something about the two monsters pictured seems off from the rest of the visuals. They seem to be fuzzy, I think, or maybe it's that they look too nice for the implicated world, which seems to have a feeling that this little girl is not innocent, even that she looks it, and is finding her way in a cruel world. I guess it might just be that the models are fuzzy. I suppose I shouldn't inject my expectations of YOUR game. Anyhow, looks great, keep on keepin' on brutha!

Hey no worries Nic!

Yes there are quite a varied assortment of enemies, and the fellow pictured above is what you'd call a reluctant enemy I suppose. The too images show him in two of many states. The bottom image shows his normal self, where as the one above shows a version of him through Lylian's eyes.

Ah well that sounds interesting. I'm a sucker for unique game play. That sounds pretty eenteresting. keep on oh kinky turtle!

- be sure to announciate or "lead on oh kind eternal" can sound like "leed on oh kinky turtle" . That was from a christian home-schooling book I once took :D

Ah, so there are two views of the world like in Flipside?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt10QOOIaLo

Do you use both views to progress like in Flipside? or is it purely cosmetic? I look forward to seeing more.

I kind of agree with Nic on the enemies not fitting the world. I don't think it's that they look too nice, but that the art style doesn't seem to fit. The world is pretty stylized in a specific direction, and while the enemies are also stylized, they seem to be stylized on a different path.

But yeah, you didn't post this for critique, and you probably know what you're doing. You have plenty of art and animation experience. The game's looking quite good. Good luck!

Actually that's a good point regarding the style of the characters Dave. I've actually considered changing this characters appearance as is is kind of an outsider compared to the others, and the environment.

Perhaps like flipside, but there are up to 4 changes of the view.

Really liking the art, especially the fields. Scenes like that make me feel all good inside. :P
