TBE for 1.5.2?

by Jeff Lewis · in Torque Game Engine · 06/11/2008 (7:51 pm) · 2 replies

I installed 1.5.2 to default location "C:\Torque\TGE_1_5_2". Alot of documentation refer to the default location being "C:\Torque\SDK". I installed Torque Build Enviroment ignoring the warning of making sure Torque was in the SDK location thinking I could change it later if I had to. I restarted, launched eclipse, right clicked on Torque, went to rebuild and got 2 errors saying it couldnt located Clean and all. I knew this was due to the default location thing so I looked for changing it, but couldnt find the definite way. I copied my torque install to an SDK folder, reinstalled TBE, restarted, launched Eclipse and right clicked Torque and clicked rebuild. The console window launched and it looked like it was working. I was seeing alot of warnings though and finally the compiler stopped saying rebuild failed.

I dont know if this is due to the Torque Version 1.5.2 or not.

Has anyone had any issues using TBE with this version?

TBE is no longer supported. There's no need for it anymore with Visual Studio Express, which I saw you were pointed to in your other thread.

I appreciate the help. I actually posted this thread first. I am attempting the VSXpress route. It would be nice if the Web pages reflected this kind of information though and maybe add a walkthrough install process for VSExpress. The only info I found was for VC++6 and 7.

    Thanks for the help.
