Polygon counts.

I'm currently making a game balled Battlefield: Planetary Wars (working title). Anyways, the question is: What kind of polygon count can I have?
My average polycount for player model is 4000, vehicle- 3000, and weapon- 1000. I will be using LOD of course. There will be about 10 players on screen in most cases. What I really want to know is how well will it perform with about 20 players on screen, 10 vehicles, and 30 weapons. That's 80 000 polys of player, 30 000 vehicle, and 30 000 weapon. That's a grand total of 140 000. Of course, with LOD, that decreases a lot...right?
Keep in mind that this game wont be released until late 2003, possibly early 2004, so the average comptuer will be about 1.5 ghz with at least 256 MB ram and a GeForce 2 class card.

Yes, there will also be buildings, terrain, and foliage. So I guess possibly 250 000 polys.
