Missing eye, cam, mount

I'm working in Maya 8 and using the Maya2DTS exporter for reference.
I used the utility in the exporter to create the cam, eye, and mount 0 nodes for player models.
I made them the children in the skeleton so they would animate. When I try to look at those nodes in showtools pro those three nodes are missing. Everything else shows up. I tried placing them outside the root node into the scene node and listing them in the .cfg to alwasyexport with no luck.
I am correct in thinking that those nodes should be visible in pro tools, right? Any thoughts?
