Collision Detection and Response Article...

A little while ago I was asked by GG to put together a simple document to described some of the background of the collision detection and response in TGB. I went slightly overboard and did quite a detailed document discussing lots of background and how it applies to TGB with nice pretty images etc.

You can find the article on TDN under the "Collision Detection" header here.

Here's a Direct Link to the PDF as well.

I hope you find it useful. Please feel free to ask any questions about this document here, I'd be glad to answer them.

Thanks Melv! I'm interested in filling in the gaps in my knowledge on RB simulation. I'll definitely give this a read.

There'll be a suppliment specifically for the rigid-body. That's something I'm doing in between other tasks right now. This document will give you some essential background though into how all the collision detection works in TGB.

I'd expect a week before the next document is ready but it'll continue nicely from this one.

Appreciate all the info. You can never go overboard. Though I haven't read too far into the first, will shortly. Then I'll be ready to be amazed or befuddled by the second as well. ( Get more into the theory parts. Have to work through the coding parts as best as I can, not my strong suit. )

You're most welcome. Any feedback on documents or required explanations of TGB is most welcome too.
