Games I Made With Torque

by Nicolai Dutka · in General Discussion · 05/01/2008 (3:14 pm) · 23 replies

I thought I'd share a couple of the games I made in college.

The first one is called Trevik. I made it at least a year ago. It was a solo project with a 3 month deadline. I also had 3 other classes at the same time and a wife and 2 kids, so I wouldn't by any means call this a blockbuster, but it is fun for 15 minutes or so of old school meets new school platform play. I did everything from modeling/texturing, rigging/animating, game design, level design, programming, and more.

The second one is called Rival Cannons. It was a group project in which I was the programming lead. This one is really cool!

You can check out the video trailers for both games on my YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/kingdutka
The video on my main channel page is my demo reel. The trailers for the games are JUST below that on the right.

You can download the games here:

Nice work there. Looks good for the resume I'm sure. That Rival Cannons looks cute. I may just try that out. Thumbs up to you, friend.

Both of those look great. I really like the art style used in Rival Cannons, how long did it take you and your team?

I was just playing Rival Cannons - man! is that game fun :) xTreme Golf, I love it.

Voice acting a little tame though on the yee-har for one of the characters. Lot's of fun and addictive, plus this is the ONLY way to play computer golf. Thanks guys.

Just played Tevik - not bad - easy to access 3d platformer. Jump is nicely forgiving. It crashed after pear appeared in the caves- I hope the bug report helps.

Can you compile a Rival Cannons for linux?

07/11/2008 (2:42 pm)
I'm not sure how to do that at all... I've never really used Linux and definitely don't have it.

Over a month and still no winners! Is this game unbeatable?? No, but I bet it can seem like it some times!

The CASH PRIZE is still available! What are you waiting for? Kill some Wuzzles!!

I may have said that somewhere at some point, but I don't recall. Can you point me to that? There are 10 levels in total.

Congrats to BlueRaja!!! Nice work beating the game!
