Hey,
I am looking for diligent workers willing to work for free just to be in a growing team. I just want maybe 2-3 people otherwise it becomes too hard to manage. If you are not a committed worker don't even respond. I only want people who want to work for a long time. Don't worry about experience since my partner and I can help anyone who is not yet a talented artist/programmer/scriptor ect.
So if you are interested then post or email me at greenfacepro@gmail.com.
I do not want to teach everyone in the world so if you just want to learn, read books. Post here or email but please give full info on yourself and what you stand for, what you will not do, can't do. ect.
I will give full info on game type and play once I am sure you are committed. Remember experience in this case does not matter. Even if you haven't ever completed anything and you just dream about becoming big. As long as your a perminent deal.

I understand exactly what you are saying but with my many attempts to create a team I have noticed 3 things on posting: If the info is too hefty the reader will often not read the text, if the style and format is not appealing, people tend to not read, and if I describe myself it appears to most people as an advertisement to them which it is not. Also writing full info on these posts becomes very arduous. That is why I wish to just pick out the people who will meet the qualifications to the first post and present them with info after. If you think that is a bad idea just post so and I will give full explenation along with detailed requirements. Thnx for your post though. Next time I will try to avoid ambiguity.

I'll agree that posting this stuff can be a pain, but on the other hand, with no information, a lot of people just move on. Short and sweet is probably the best compromise. A summary of what you're doing is usually enough to get people interested. Just my 2 cents.

Generally, the better presented it is, the better the reception it gets with it's intended audience. Of course, it doesn't mean that everyone will read, it, but also, generally, if they don't read it then they're either not interested enough or lack the attention span- neither types of people that you would like on your team.I'll agree that posting this stuff can be a pain, but on the other hand, with no information, a lot of people just move on. Personally I look at the quality of what is available first whether that's description of the game, design documents, web sites, concept art, etc if I like the idea, and the quality looks good from a first glance then I dig a little deeper and that's where my interest is sparked.

I'd have to agree with Jason and Teds sentiment as reading through your post doesn't tell me anything regarding the project, whether it's something that would appeal to me in fact without that kind of information what differentiates it from posts such as "I have a great idea for a game I just need help writing it" that if you look in the forum you'll see it doesn't get many responses.Personally I look at the quality of what is available first whether that's description of the game, design documents, web sites, concept art, etc if I like the idea, and the quality looks good from a first glance then I dig a little deeper and that's where my interest is sparked.

People have strong preferences on the types of projects they desire, it strikes me as unfair to expect their curriculum vitae and "full info" for a non-paying project before even being told the genre. That you are willing to help people get up to speed is admirable, but if one wishes openness from others, it's advisable to initiate the open dialog by sharing some information about yourself (and in this context, your project).
Could you please share with the community some information on your project and perhaps go into somewhat great detail concerning the skills one should have if they wish to contribute?
