trouble with shapes for flying vehicles

Hi folks,
someone could please explain to me what are the requirements to use a shape (modeled in max) as a flying vehicle shape? I did not found any step-by-step tutorial about it and I'm a little confused with these required nodes (like mass). Thanx!
