Sorry for if this is a newbish question.
I need to animate this:http://www.angelfire.com/games5/jasongames/Sonic.zip
It's for a fangame...
I can't afford anything, can't figure out Anim8tor, and it would be nice if someone could animate it using even the default Korkins animations... please help me...

I can't afford anything at all... I'm 15, and don't have a credit card. I'm just desperate to put Sonic in Torque. I can't even create a bounds box in anim8tor. Milkshape reqiures the full version to export, and I've tried about 5 alternate programs, all costing money.

If you don't want to spend the time animating Sonic or finding someone to do it for you, then you should either look for a Sonic model that already has animations, or use a different existing, animated model in its place. Sure, you might have a blue skinned Kork running around your game, but it's better than nothing to get your game going.

Bummer. Credit cards suck anyways so don't let that get you down. Since Anim8tor and Blender are free, then you should learn how to use those. Both sites have a tutorials section. I believe a lot of Torque users here have had good success with Blender. J.P.'s suggestion is a good one. Look into student pricing as well - many places offer academic versions to students with yearly leases for about $100.00
Summer job? Garage sale? Good luck Jason.

Blender? I can't download python for some reason, open FX won't show my model, the Blender DTS exporter's gone missing, and Maya's way too big(download doesn't even get past 16%). It's like the internet is working against me! But thanks for the ideas.

Maya PLE doesn't let you use exporters.

What do I do? I downloaded Maya for nothing, and 3ds max is too big for a 30-day trial. I liked using max, too.

Honestly, I don't think anyone here is going to animate your model for you. If you are going to be making a fan game, you better learn how to do it yourself. The often repeated lesson of, "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime."
So go learn how to fish.
Here's a place to start.
