Need a designer/level designer for a 2D platform action/combat game based on the comic book character/YouTube superhero, Cyber-Chicken. Cyber-Chicken is an independent creative property with a comic book due out in June and ongoing serial YouTube episodes posted monthly. The story is based on a futuristic Terminator who travels back in time and finds himself in modern day Brooklyn where he takes up arms against icons of pop culture, including the likes of Starbucks and Microsoft.

Description:
Development is on schedule for Alpha release the beginning of May. The Designer/Level Designer would join the project now to assist with accomplishing Alpha by creating a test level and then helping to debug. After Alpha, the level designer would design and build level designs for each of the 12 game levels, test and play balance.

The game itself is in the mold of the original Earthworm Jim for Sega Genesis and more recently Metal Slug, a 2D side-scroller built on familiar platform gameplay concepts but with an attitude all its own. The game follows book 1 of the comic as Cyber-Chicken travels on a lark from the future to modern day Brooklyn only to be confronted with an inter-dimensional conspiracy that threatens all civilizations. With weapons like Double-Barrel Howitzers and Nepalm Flame Throwers, power-ups like Big Bucks Cappuccinos and enemies like cyberborg programmers from Microshaft, gamers should expect the unexpected and outrageous with lots of unrelenting, high octane combat and adventure.

This should be a fun project with lots of online marketing and branding to help promote the game. Pay is $2500 plus a percentage of game royalties.

More about the character can be seen at the Cyber-Chicken website, http://www.cyber-chicken.com. Also check out Cyber-Chicken's YouTube page at http://www.youtube.com/user/cyberchicken06

Position remains open. NOTE--this is a paying position--not just royalties! Pay is $2500 plus a percentage of game royalties.
