Lighting troubles with QuArK and Constructor

I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere, but I find it hard to believe I'm the first one to have this problem.
When I export a .map to a .dif through QuArK, all my light entities behave as they should, eg light_strobe's strobe, light_pulse's pulse, and so on.
When I export a .map to a .dif through Constructor all my light entities seem to get converted to light_omni. at least that is how they behave. Just constantly on emitting light in all directions.
Both Constructor and QuArK are using the same copy of map2dif.exe... I cannot figure out what if any arguments Constructor passes at all to see how it is differing from QuArK.
Building in Constructor and exporting through QuArK is a bit of a kludge, but it is working...
