How to play a .dsq in Torque

Hello,
I have been following several tutorials on how to create .dsq animation files that will play on my .dts models. I can play the .dsq animations in ShowTools but I cannot figure out how to get it to play while in the engine.
Does anyone know how to play .dsq animation files using script in Torque? The only thing I've tried using so far is $obj.playThread(0, "sequence_name"); but of course that doesn't work. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks
