Dealing with Foriegn Publishers

by Eric Robertson · in General Discussion · 09/27/2002 (6:56 am) · 1 replies

Ive been contacted with a potential publishing deal with a Taiwan company, and with the limited english its hard to tell 'exactly' what they are offering/expecting.

Anyone have any suggestions/experience with this?

Do I assume that I can be verbose and articulate in my emails and expect them to have someone interepting it accurately?

Be aware that on the other side of the line there could be guy with crocodyle shoes.

I think that your response should be as formal and literate as dealing with any other publisher. If they can not understand what you say, most likely you wont beable to communicate later in developement process as well. Or there is just a twelve year old kid on the other side of the line.
