Pre purchase question

I am a teacher and would like to create some Virtual Environments for my students. I've been looking at Multiverse, but I think I like Torque better. I have a couple of questions though. Does anyone know if I can A - create a weblink within a world that would either open in a new window or open within a window within the world and B - set the environment so that only specific people can chat i.e. kids are in groups of three and when one student types in a chat only the other people in his/her group can see the chat. Any information you could give would be great.

Thanks

My first suggestion would be to e-mail whoever in charage of licensing here at garagegames.com. They have implemented some rather strange regulations on what can and can't be done with the torque engine. You may be required to purchase a modified license to suit your needs. Describe your project, and see what they say. Basically Torque is licensed to "make games" not virtual environments. Just a heads up.

You can do all that and more..
there is someone that created a virtual world system on a large scalle, called the lounge..

You should ask yourself if you have the skills to do this tho first.
But shouldnt be too hard to implement..
