export to import

Hey did you guys make the 3ds to dts exporter, if so how about a dts to 3ds importer. Reason for this is if you make a model and want to export it for the game but then later you might want to edit it a bit you have to have the original 3ds version or other depending on what you use. Anyway if you have misplaced that model or lost it all together the only way you can do this is to start from scratch which really sucks. So if there is anyway possible can you guys make a dts to 3ds importer.

You should always save the model in the format used by your modeler. The exporter basically "tears it apart" so that the engine can use it. There is some optimizations, etc., thus the original format of the verticies, etc. of the model is lost. Importers = bad idea. :-)

I dont know max good enough to do animations, the default player model still dont hold weapons properly, if there was an importer that would also import the animations, not only could a person see by real example how its done, they could easyly fix it.
